Happy Drink Like the Irish Day!

I got to hear the best and sweetest sound last night, and I am a happy girl, I’ll tell ya that. Getting to hear Caleb’s voice for the first time in a week was better than sour gummies, being done with winter finals, AND this beautiful weather combined. It was better than St. Patrick’s Day, B-Dubs, and embracing your inner Irish-ness by getting “schwasted,” as Caleb would call it. I really am so very happy.

Take that, you menace!

Anyway, I probably will not have a sip of alcohol today, my friends. I know I’m a big lame-o, but I have Army Wives on dvd, a stack of books, and lots of writing to keep me content. We’re talking actual writing this time. Not another freakin’ analytical paper that makes me want to tear my hair out. I never thought I would reach a day where I would officially be sick of writing papers, but after three years of college, it’s happening.

Yesterday on the way to and from Columbus, I busted out some high school mix cds and regular cds to dance (yes, in the car, while driving) to. Don’t laugh, but I had My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy playing, and the mixes had everything from “The Time Warp” to HelloGoodbye, which seriously gave me a few chuckles. I forgot that HelloGoodbye even existed to be completely honest with you. I’ve been feeling mildly nostalgic lately, so I figured I would get my fix singing along to songs that I listened to when I was sixteen. Yes, that was only five years ago, but it feels like a lot longer.

I hope everyone has a great St. Patty’s Day! Last year I had the Savannah St. Patty’s Day parade live on my computer hoping to see Caleb walk through and hoping even more that no crazy drunk chicks would smear their red lipstick all over his face for the sake of kissing a soldier. Haha. That’s my soldier, ladies! My apologies. ;]

xoxoxo
