Tonight I had a super lovely birthday dinner with my mom and dad at one of my favorite restaurants. I had a delicious glass of pinot grigio accompanied by a massive bowl of white pasta, which I think I might need some more of in a little while. I brought home lots of leftovers! My birthday isn’t until tomorrow, but we celebrated tonight, since it was Dad’s day off. The only thing that could have made it better was if Caleb were there, too.
I stumbled upon this amazing blog post one day entitled How I Celebrated My Birthday (aka 38 Random Acts of Robyn). Everyone should check it out, because it is truly inspiring. I was so moved by this woman that I decided to follow in her footsteps and see if I could maybe do what she did. Instead of celebrating her day in a manner that was all about her, she did 38 random acts of kindness to help others, since she was turning 38. Well, tomorrow, I am turning 22, and I have decided to take on this challenge myself. I probably won’t have anyone with me to take any awesome pictures, but I’ll do my best. If all else fails, I’ll just list the random acts of kindness that I manage to do tomorrow. Some of these things take courage, so I’m going to do my best to be brave. If I can’t be brave, I’ll at least try to be creative.
SO, kiddos, I am going to do 22 random acts of kindness throughout the day of October 19th and then post them for all of you later in the night. Wish me luck!
