Hello, everyone! I really have been dreadful at updating. Let me catch you up a bit. I have been devoting some of my time to The Domestic Violence Shelter, and it’s been an incredible experience so far. I can honestly say that this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m considering going into a career that allows me to be in a similar environment. I love feeling that I’m making even the slightest positive difference in another woman’s life. I know that this is a far cry from being a writer, but why not do both? One never really stops being a writer.
Also, as you can tell by the photos, we have a new addition to the family. He is Edgar Gatsby, and I love him with my entire heart. He took awhile to warm up to me, and he’s still a little shy, but he was walking around on my hands today, along with other sporadic moments of bravery, so I’d say we’re making progress. Yesterday, Mom and I took him for a walk with us. At first he didn’t seem too interested, but when I took him out of his little carrier and held him in my hands, his curiosity got the best of him. Most of the other pets have been introduced to him, and they mostly just stare at him. They’re not quite sure what to think. I was most worried about my Miss, because she’s my favorite kitty in the Universe, but she did a good job. Eventually, she just laid down next to his ball and watched him. I’m so excited to have this little nugget, and I think that we’re going to try our first bath time here in a little while. I’m going to die of cute overload.
Okay, I know you all have just been DYING to find out what the next book challenge book is. Edgar wanted to do the honors. Here ya go:

I just need to finish reading The Adults, then I’ll start on Grapes! I, regrettably, have never read it before. Bad English major. Uncle Mike’s White Teeth review will hopefully be up shortly. Keep checking back for the link! Enjoy your Tuesdays, loves.
