Hello, lovers! This past weekend was a pretty hectic one, but it was so much fun. Saturday, we got to catch up with some of our dearest friends in Savannah, Jon and Sarah. What began as an innocent dinner, at one of our favorite restaurants, turned into a night that lasted until about 4:00 in the morning. One thing led to the next, and the Savannah cab service saved our booties. We did a little dancing, a little drinking, and had an amazing time together. I missed them so much, while I was in Ohio! We crashed at their place, but before that could happen, I had to take some time to hang out with the snakes that Sarah is watching over for awhile. Yes, snakes! I’ve got my drunk goggles on in the picture up there, but it’s all the proof ya need.
I want one so badly, but since I just got my precious Edgar the hedgehog, I should probs simmer down a bit.
The next morning was met with mild tummy aches and a trip to get breakfast, before Caleb headed to The Butcher tattoo shop to be drilled into for the next almost five hours. He was a real man about it and sat there, giggling away at Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Pumping Iron”, sipping on a smoothie entitled “The Hulk”, and clicking around on Facebook. He still has a couple more sessions, until it’s all done, but he’s pretty pleased so far. If you’re in Savannah and are considering a tattoo, we would highly recommend Cory Hand at The Butcher. Yes, I’m aware of how scary that name sounds. No, it’s not the least bit terrifying, once you actually get there. He’s a great dude, and will give you everything you want and more.
While we were sitting, I was able to get some writing done, which leads me to the good news that I was discussing in my last post. I am officially a weekly blogger, at an affiliation of Sweet Lemon Magazine, for a blog project called The Zesty Digest. I can’t even explain how stoked I am for the opportunity to get “out there” more as a blogger, as well as a writer. Not to mention that I’m getting to talk to some incredible women, who are also involved with the blog, and that makes me so happy. You can already read some great writing there, if you want to check it out. Keep visiting for more great posts from lots of fashion-savvy, intelligent, and creative women. I’ll be sure to let you know when my up-coming post goes live.
Okay, you lovely readers, I’m going to wrap this up and finish getting ready for the day. Stay sweet!
xoxoxo
